These Terms & Conditions govern the use of services provided by Hydro City Plumbing (hereafter referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing our website or engaging our plumbing services, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.
1. Scope of Services
Hydro City Plumbing provides professional plumbing services across Sydney, the Sutherland Shire, and the Eastern Suburbs of NSW, including:
Residential plumbing
Commercial plumbing
Strata and real estate plumbing
Emergency plumbing
Gas fitting and gas appliance services
Hot water system installation and repairs
Drain unblocking and jet blasting
Leak detection and pipe repairs
Kitchen and bathroom renovations
All work is conducted by fully licensed and insured professionals in accordance with the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2011 (NSW) and Home Building Act 1989 (NSW).
2. Appointments, Call-Outs & Site Access
Appointments are subject to availability. We reserve the right to reschedule due to emergency works, illness, or adverse weather.Clients must ensure safe, unrestricted access to the work area. Delays caused by access issues may incur additional charges.
A call-out fee may apply and will be discussed prior to confirmation. For urgent or after-hours services, elevated rates may be charged.
3. Estimates, Quotes & Invoicing
We offer complimentary estimates or fixed-price quotes for most services. Formal quotes are valid for 14 calendar days and are subject to change if:
Site conditions differ from the information provided
Hidden faults or compliance issues are discovered
Additional work is requested outside the original scope
Invoicing occurs upon job completion or in accordance with staged billing milestones (for larger works). All prices are quoted in AUD and are exclusive of GST, unless otherwise stated.
4. Payments & Deposits
Payment methods accepted:
Cash
EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
Credit/Debit Card
Payment is due immediately upon completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.For works exceeding $5,000, a deposit of 10–30% may be required before commencement, in accordance with NSW Fair Trading regulations. Delayed or withheld payment may result in interest charges and recovery fees.
5. Cancellations, Delays & Rescheduling
Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to scheduled appointments. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee of up to $150.
Where weather, safety, or material supply issues arise, we may reschedule at our discretion with reasonable notice provided. Hydro City Plumbing is not liable for delays caused by third-party suppliers or subcontractors.
6. Workmanship Warranty & Product Guarantee
All plumbing work is carried out in compliance with AS/NZS 3500 Plumbing and Drainage Standards, and is backed by a 12-month workmanship warranty unless otherwise specified.
Product warranties are honoured in accordance with manufacturer terms. These do not cover faults caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorised repairs, or interference from other trades.
For projects over $20,000, we comply with statutory requirements for Home Building Compensation Fund (HBCF) insurance, as administered by NSW Fair Trading.
7. Emergency & After-Hours Work
Emergency services are available 24/7. Rates for after-hours, weekends, or public holidays will be higher than standard service fees. Response times are best-effort and may vary based on demand, location, and traffic conditions.
8. Compliance & Licences
All plumbing, drainage, and gas works are undertaken by technicians licensed with NSW Fair Trading. License details are available on request. We comply with:
Plumbing and Drainage Act 2011 (NSW)
Home Building Act 1989 (NSW)
Gas and Electricity (Consumer Safety) Act 2017 (NSW)
All applicable NSW Codes of Practice and safety regulations
9. Liability & Risk
While every precaution is taken to protect your property, Hydro City Plumbing is not liable for:
Pre-existing damage or faults
Incidental damage from accessing plumbing infrastructure (e.g., removing tiles, flooring, walls)
Losses resulting from delays, product failures, or indirect damages
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from misuse, unauthorised modifications, or hazardous onsite conditions outside of our control.
10. Use of Website
This website is owned and operated by Hydro City Plumbing. All images, logos, copy, and design elements are protected intellectual property and must not be copied or reproduced without express written permission.
The website is provided “as-is” and we make no warranties about its content accuracy, availability, or security.
11. Privacy
